The TCGA Juinor Tour Event at Endwell Greens today was kind to previous winners on the 2010 tour. It was a terrific day for golf, with a slight breeze, warm temperatures and a challenging golf course. With 49 golfers making the trip to Endwell, it was another successful day.
D.J. Griffiths won his third consectutive event in a row in the 10-12 age group! D.J. made 7 pars and 2 bogeys to win the event by 6 strokes. With this win, D.J. and Zach Sitzman are closing the gap on Hogan Bendert for the 10-12 age group player of the year award.
The 13-15 age group saw a familiar face on top of the leaderboard as well. Nathan Cavaluzzi was simply on fire on the back nine today. After a 43 on the front, Nate made birdies on 11, 12, 13, 14 and 16 to shoot a 34 on the back nine for a 77. This win puts Nate in the lead for the player of the year award.
Chris Stricek also won his second tournament of the year in the 16-18 age group with an even par round of 72 today. After making par on the first 12 holes, Chris threw in birdies on 13 and 14 to get to two under. After a double on the tough 17th, Chris two putted for par on 18 to edge out Pat Milkovich by 1. This win gives Chris some breathing room in the player of the year point race.
